Accessible vacation planning

On this page, you’ll find all the important information you need for accessible travel and suitable accommodations for your vacation in the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve.

Getting here

The Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve is easily accessible. We encourage you to travel sustainably by taking the bus or train.

The region is accessible several times a day via the ICE/TGV express service from Frankfurt to Paris, which stops at Saarbrücken Central Station. This is supplemented by RE and IC trains, which stop in Saarbrücken and, in some cases, in Homburg and St. Ingbert. You can find accessible train stations on the Wheelmap. The right connection can be found through Deutsche Bahn’s train schedule service.

If you’re traveling by car, many attractions, restaurants, and accommodations offer accessible parking. Simply plan your car trip using the Routenplaner. Since our region is a member of Deutsche Bahn’s “Fahrtziel Natur” program, we recommend using public transportation to get here and to get around the biosphere.
