At the edge of Blieskastel-Bierbach opens the beautifully situated Grohbachtal.
The hiking trail "Into the Grohbachtal" starts from here. After passing the Kanzel, a rock ledge with a Kneipp basin underneath, the path climbs to the viewpoint "Auf dem Schucht." This hill is crowned by a gigantic oak and directly beside it an imposing cross with a gigantic view over the Bliestal.
The path continues past the "Seven Pines," a turnstile in the forest, from where you can reach Kirkel, Wörschweiler, or Lautzkirchen and the Peterseiche.

Pulpit near Bierbach
In the Grohbachtal, at the northern edge of Bierbach on the Blies, there is a striking sandstone rock called "Kanzel" directly by the trail. A rock ledge resembles the platform of a pulpit. According to legend, Saint Pirminius (* 670, † 753 in Hornbach monastery) proclaimed Christianity from there. Next to the rock, a Kneipp water treading facility and a water basin were installed in the 1970s. The Kanzel lies in the middle between the Waldschenke with a playground, beer garden, and fish ponds, each about 200 m away, and the hiking car park.

Wegbeschreibung
From the hiking car park in the Grohbachtal near Bierbach, the hiking trail leads into the village via Eckstraße and then turns into Korngartenstraße. The route continues into Hügelstraße. From Hügelstraße, the hiking trail turns sharply right onto a field path and reaches the "Auf dem Schucht" cross at an elevation of 332 m. The wooden summit cross can be regarded as a landmark of Bierbach. Here, visitors enjoy an impressive view of the village, the Bliestal, far over the Bliesgau and the Sickinger Höhe up to the mountains of the Palatinate Forest.
At km 4.2, the hike reaches the rest area at the Seven Pines. At km 5.0, the route reaches the natural monument Peterseiche. The return goes downhill past the Fischerhütte Waldschenke in the Grohbachtal to the starting point of the hiking route.
