The Kirkeler Baumelstation is a designated spot for hammock lovers and is located on a meadow on the grounds of the Arbeitskammer. Numerous marked trees offer safe places to hang hammocks and relax in peace. The Baumelstation is part of a network of hammock stations along various hiking trails and is located just a few metres from the forest, allowing visitors to enjoy both peace and quiet and a bit of nature.
If you don't have your own hammock, you can easily rent one at the hammock rental stations. For those who bring their own hammock, there is enough space to hang several hammocks at the same time. The ground of the meadow provides a pleasant environment, while the surrounding trees provide shade.
The Baumelstation is ideal for a short break during a hike or bike ride, for reading, resting or simply enjoying the surroundings in peace. Due to its proximity to several hiking trails, a visit to the Baumelstation can easily be integrated into a longer tour.
