The tour is a hiking trail of about 9 km with 180 meters of elevation. It is suitable for all ages and physical conditions. From the Schwarzweiher valley to the forest playground over the Wolfsfels and back, this is the course of the hike. Optionally, the Gänshorn circuit can be added. There are many seating options along the route to rest, such as the shelter at the Schwarzweiher and on the Gänshorn. The hike without the detour to the Gänshorn is about 6 km. On the route, you will also find the hammock stations. The lightweight hammocks can be borrowed at the Blieskastel Tourist Info or the Saarpfalz-Touristik.
The Lautzkirchen Youth and Cultural Association has taken over the sponsorship for the hiking trail.

The NAhToUR is followed by the educational trail "Ecological Backpack."
Over the course of the themed trail, Paul deals with the concept of the ecological backpack and takes a closer look for a day: He wants to find out how his everyday life affects the environment—i.e., how "big" the backpack is that he carries with him throughout the year—and how he can reduce the weight of his backpack. Set out to discover together with Paul what an ecological backpack contains!
The NAhToUR also includes the hammock stations, where you can "hang out" with your own or borrowed hammocks. More information about hiking with a hammock can be found here.

Wegbeschreibung
Right next to the Alte Forsthaus, a path leads into the forest to the Schwarzweiher ponds. Here the signage for the NAhToUR begins. From the pond area, the route follows the wide forest path. Over narrower trails, the path overcomes two smaller ascents. Once at the top, a bench invites you to take a short break. At this point, the path follows the signage to the left. A short detour to the right to a nearby forest playground is worthwhile. After a few hundred meters, the route turns onto a narrow forest path. This leads us directly past the Wolfsfels.
Even on warm days, the bench in front of the rock offers a cool resting place. Following the path further, the NAhToUR reaches a wider path again. This leads to a large intersection. Here you can decide whether you want to take the smaller circuit of about 6 kilometers or whether you want to hike another 2 kilometers more. The larger circuit leads around the Gänshorn. At the Gänshorn there is also a shelter where a picnic can be enjoyed. After this extra round, the path leads back to the same intersection and now follows the signage slightly downhill. Forest paths lead back to the Schwarzweiher. Here you can round off the tour with a rest, a refreshment in the Kneipp basin, a game of boules, or with a visit to the Alte Forsthaus or the "Zum Pferchtal" restaurant.
