Pond
Möhlwoog Jägersburg
Möhlwoog Jägersburg,
Kleinottweiler Straße, 66424 Homburg
The pond used to be used for fish farming for the nearby monasteries and at times also served as a reservoir for a sawmill. At the time of the Jägersburg hunting lodge (destroyed in 1793), it was drained and became part of the castle gardens.
Today, the Möhlwoog is a very popular excursion destination for hikers and cyclists. It can be completely circumnavigated and some of the anglers' jetties invite you to linger. It is also possible to rest on benches in some places.
