Trail marking signs Niederbexbacher Runde
The starting point of the route is at the village square of Niederbexbach and leads towards Kirkel Old Town over fields and through forest passages back to Niederbexbach.
The meadow irrigation in the valley of the Blies in Niederbexbach has a history of more than 230 years. Who has seen the ditches and sluices with their dam systems in the valley in Niederbexbach? But what were they built for, how does such a sophisticated system work? On a hike, you experience, in addition to hydrological aspects, the proximity to the Blies as a flowing water body.

Wegbeschreibung
The starting point of the route is at the village square of Niederbexbach. From there, the hiking trail first leads into the “Bliestalstraße” and branches off to the right to a farm at the town exit, curving left into the forest towards the A6 motorway. It goes under the motorway through a bridge and further to the Woogsacker Mill. There, the route crosses the L 116 country road and shortly after passes left by the Feilbach until it passes under the motorway again. Past the forest edge, the round route goes by cultivated fields to the L 116, which is crossed to the left. At the outskirts of Niederbexbach, the hiking trail follows the street “Zum Kornfeld” and then through the “Gassenweg” back to the starting point.
