The Oberwürzbach playground is idyllically located in the middle of the new town centre and is surrounded by the Würzbach stream and the wooded hills of the surrounding area. It offers a colourful mix of play, sports and recreational opportunities for children, teenagers and adults.
A special highlight is the inclusive carousel, which can also be used by wheelchair users, enabling all children to play together. For younger children, there is a climbing frame, a toddler swing, a sandpit, a playhouse and another slide. Older children can let off steam on larger climbing frames, a hill slide, trampoline and zip line.
For those who are sporty, there is a multi-purpose field for football and basketball, a table tennis table, fitness equipment for teenagers and adults, and a boules court. Numerous sensory benches invite you to take a break and rest.
The facility also offers picnic facilities, both open benches and a covered area with barbecue facilities, which can be rented here. A particularly idyllic picnic area is located under a large tree. The ground is covered with fine gravel and wood chips, making it safe for children to play.
The playground is colourfully designed and rounded off with rubbish bins and well-maintained paths. As there are no permanent roofs, headgear is recommended on sunny days.
