The "Pirminiusweg" leads through gently sloping forest areas, picturesque villages, and idyllic monasteries. A detour to France is also included in the almost 27-kilometer-long hike.

The Pirminiusweg runs from the monastery town of Hornbach in the Three-Country Corner of Rhineland-Palatinate, Lorraine, and Saarland. The start is at the Pirminius Hall in Hornbach. The hiking trail is characterized by changing landscapes of forest, meadows, and fields. Heights with splendid views, idyllic, nature-protected valley meadows with old mills testify to the charm of the region.
