The Blieskastel-Bierbach water treading facility is a peaceful and natural place for anyone who wants to combine exercise with relaxation. The Kneipp facility was built by the local fire brigade in 1972 and consists of a treading pool and an arm pool. To this day, the facility is reliably supplied with fresh water from the Pirminius spring, which ensures consistently high water quality.
The pools are located in the middle of the Bierbach Forest, near the Waldschenke restaurant. There is also a children's playground right next door, making a visit to the Kneipp facility a great combination with an outing for the whole family. The surroundings are quiet, green and pleasantly shady, ideal for a relaxing break, especially on warm days.
The water treading facility can be reached in various ways. Those arriving by car can park at the hiking car park, from where it is about a 300-metre walk to the facility. The Kneipp facility is also easily accessible by bicycle, with the nearest cycle paths around 1.4 kilometres away. The path is also well suited for walkers: the access road is paved and can be used without any problems with prams or wheelchairs.
There is a bench on site where you can sit and relax. The base of the pools is made of non-slip slabs, making them safe and comfortable to use.
