Sustainable Travel Destination Partner

The Saarland is the first federal state to be recognized by TourCert as a sustainable destination.
We are part of the “Sustainable Destination Partner” network and participate in the joint development process for the Saarland as a destination, which has been certified as a sustainable destination (TourCert certification). The certification is issued by Odonata Certification Services GmbH and is valid through November 2027. It covers the destination’s sustainability management and confirms that there are verified structures and processes in place for the sustainable further development of tourism in the Saarland.
