Bike path network

Most of the cycling routes in the Saarland signage system were selected in collaboration with Tourismus Zentrale Saarland GmbH based on sustainability criteria. Numerous train stations, such as St. Ingbert, Homburg, Blieskastel-Lautzkirchen, Blieskastel-Niederwürzbach, Bexbach, Kirkel-Limbach, Kirkel-Neuhäusel, as well as Saarbrücken—the capital of Saarland—and Sarreguemines—Saarland’s French neighbor—are among the top starting and ending points for a bike tour in the region.

Should your “battery run low” along the way, you’ll find several e-bike charging stations for your bike. You can also recharge your own battery—whether you’re on an e-bike or not—at numerous rest stops, many of which are part of the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve’s partner network.

If you’d like to pick up a tasty treat along the way or bring home a “souvenir” for your loved ones, you’ll find Bliesgau product displays at various locations along the route, both at farms and in retail stores.
