The Celtic burial mound near the "Waldidyll Rabenhorst" forest idyll can still be seen today on a hike along the "Rabenhorst Runde" trail, for example.
In 2001, the Celtic burial mound at Rabenhorst in Homburg was uncovered to prevent looting. The burial mound, built around 500 BC, had a diameter of 21 metres and a height of 1.70 metres. It was surrounded by a circular ditch. Numerous artefacts were found in it.
