Explore the diverse landscape of the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve and the Saarpfalz district by bike, e-bike, gravel bike, or road bike. Gentle hills and very flat stretches of terrain make your tour a wonderful cycling experience.
Whether you’re an ambitious cyclist or just looking for a leisurely ride, there are signposted routes through beautiful countryside with plenty of interesting sights to see. For those who find the Große Bliesgau Biosphere Loop too strenuous, for example, you can rent an e-bike from one of our bike rental shops and set off. In general, all of our bike tours are suitable for e-bikes.
The Velo vis à vis offers fantastic cycling opportunities with a German-French flair, comprising a network of 225 km of carefully selected routes along the border region.
With its easy-to-understand signage system, the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve and the entire Saarland region provide a special service for all cycling enthusiasts. The tourist routes follow green signs featuring a bicycle symbol and a colored route logo. In addition, information boards along the trails, complete with detailed map sections, make navigation easier and provide an overview of sights, restaurants, lodging options, and service stations.
