Bickenalb Route

The circular route is consistently marked as "Circuit de la Bickenalbe Runde" and starts at the sports field of Blieskastel-Altheim. From there a well-asphalted country road leads towards Utweiler. The typical wide views of Bliesgau accompany the route at all times. Whether views of Altheim, Peppenkum, and Medelsheim, everyone gets their money's worth here. After Utweiler, as the smallest village in Bliesgau, the route crosses the invisible French border and passes through the village of Erching, even through a part of the regional nature park Nordvogesen. Genuine nature lovers enjoy both the biosphere and the nature park here. Shortly afterwards, the German border is crossed again and the bike path leads to Medelsheim, a cozy, pretty little village in the Bliesgau Biosphere. Interested parties can also make a detour to the Medelsheimer Kreuzweg with its chapel. The village and the view from there over Medelsheim allow one to relax. The route ends via Peppenkum back in Altheim, where a detour to the Priminiusgarten can also be made. This is freely accessible and also suitable for a rest.
