Characteristic of this circular route are the four enchanted "Gardens with History" waiting to be discovered. The start is at the station in Homburg and it goes directly on the Saarland bike path to Homburg-Sanddorf. The only climb there to Karlsberg makes you sweat briefly and tests your fitness. Once at the top, the ruins of the former orangery in the WaldPark Schloss Karlsberg become visible – the first "Garden with History." The route continues along the valley near the Karlsberger Hof and back onto the Saarland bike path through the Homburg Königsbruch, through Homburg-Bruchhof and Jägersburg, to the castle pond with Gustavsburg – the second "Garden with History." Then towards the Fun Forest climbing park and straight on the roadside bike path to Kleinottweiler. A next stop at a Kneipp facility, for example, can be made at Hotel Hochwiesmühle in Bexbach before continuing to the Bexbach flower garden – the third "Garden with History." The next beautiful section of the route leads over Niederbexbach to Kirkel-Limbach, where the bike path follows the signposted Adebar loop. Past Kirkel-Altstadt it continues to the beautiful Bliesauen towards Beeden biotope and Beeden fishing hut with the native white storks. On the last section, the route leads to Homburg-Schwarzenacker and past the Roman Museum with its beautifully laid-out Baroque garden – the fourth "Garden with History." Only a few kilometers remain through the Beeden Mastau, via the pedestrian zone in Homburg, to the station.

Please note that on this route proposal, you follow different signposts, so you should read the route description attentively.
Route course:
Start at the station in Homburg/Saar – continue on the "Saarland bike path" to Homburg-Sanddorf - at the village entrance turn right and again right at the through road - at the village end turn left (Weinbergstraße) and take the climb to Karlsberg up to the ruins of the orangery - after another 500 m turn right towards Karlsberger Hof and return to the "Saarland bike path" - follow this to the right (short steep climb that can also be bypassed via traffic roads) through the Homburg Königsbruch, through Homburg-Bruchhof and Jägersburg, to the castle pond with Gustavsburg - at the end of the castle pond turn left on the flower garden route to the Fun Forest climbing park - from there follow the roadside bike path to Kleinottweiler - turn right in the village center, pass Hotel Hochwiesmühle - continue to Bexbach, following the signs to the Bexbach flower garden - continue over Niederbexbach, after about 2 km turn right into Bliestalstraße, again right in the center into Schmelzerstraße, and follow the bike path signs on the left to Kirkel-Limbach - at the village entrance turn left and ride roadside on the "Adebar loop," which branches right into the beautiful Bliesauen at the Altstadt entrance – after the Beeden biotope, cross the street in the center of Beeden and head to the fishing hut – continue along the motorway for about 500 m after the underpass, leave the bike path, cross the bridge to Homburg-Schwarzenacker to the Roman Museum – from there ride back a little and straight ahead behind the underpass on the "Saarland bike path," along the Erbach to Homburg – finally, through the Homburg pedestrian zone to the station.

Sicherheitshinweise
Several sections of the forest and field paths are not paved. Fine forest floors or gravel paths, alongside paved paths, make up the condition of the bike route. A brisk climb at the beginning of the route must be managed.
