This half-day cycle tour is characterised by the mostly flat route from Bexbach via Beeden and Homburg to Jägersburg and back to Bexbach. Please note, however, that the route is not signposted with a logo. We recommend that you read the tour description carefully and follow the GPX track of the tour on your device. The tour starts by passing the Bexbach glider airfield and follows a pleasant embankment path towards Limbach. After cycling a short distance through the village, you reach the Blies again and follow it to the Beeder biotope. Here you can watch storks and Heck cattle from the platform. You can stop for refreshments at the Fischerhütte in Beeden (please check the website for opening times) before continuing along the tarmac cycle path towards Schwarzenbach and Homburg. In Homburg's old town, attractive squares with fountains, cosy pubs, cafés and excellent restaurants make strolling and lingering a pleasure. Continue through pleasant forests near Sanddorf and Bruchhof to the Jägersburger Weihern ponds, where you can also stop off at various establishments. A minigolf course, a climbing park and a pedal boat hire centre also invite you to linger. The last stage leads past Kleinottweiler and ends back at the Bexbach flower garden. The famous Saarland Mining Museum with its 40 metre high Hindenburg Tower is well worth a visit here. The flower garden is freely accessible and invites you to relax.

Tour route:
Start at the Bexbach flower garden - continue past the glider airfield to Niederbexbach - cycle along the Saar-Nahe-Höhen-Radweg to Limbach - in Limbach, branch off the Saar-Nahe-Höhen-Radweg and follow the stork logo of the Adele cycle path for the next 4,5 km follow the stork logo of the Adebar tour to Beeden - past the Beeder biotope with a small viewing platform - continue past the Beeder fishing hut and along the motorway to Schwarzenbach - continue on the Saarland cycle path to Homburg - continue through the town centre and the town park in Homburg to Bruchhof - cross the main road there and follow the signposts to Jägersburg - leave the Saarland cycle path at the end of the castle pond (Schlossweiher) and follow the signposts to Jägersburg. at the end of the castle pond, leave the Saarland cycle path and head towards Kleinottweiler - the cycle path alongside the road leads along the main road to Kleinottweiler - in the centre of the town, the route branches off towards Bexbach and you pass the Hotel Hochwiesmühle - you reach the starting point at the Bexbach flower garden via local roads.

Sicherheitshinweise
Several sections of the forest and field paths are unpaved. In addition to the tarmac paths, the cycle tour is characterised by fine forest floors and gravel paths. The total elevation gain of 100 metres is spread over several smaller climbs and, at 34 km, is also easy for families with children to master.
Weitere Informationen
In midsummer, the cycle path is often in the blazing sun, so make sure you have enough drinks and headgear with you.
