Höfe path
Leicht
The Höfe path leads past various Bliesgau farms and is excellent for getting to know the region and its products. Due to the slight incline and the asphalted ground, the route is also very suitable as a barrier-free hike for families with strollers or active people with walkers.

Wegebeschaffenheit
Wegmarkierung
Trail marker Höfe Weg
The Höfe path leads on asphalt or well-maintained gravel paths through the Bliesgau landscape. Due to the surrounding fields and the high location of the route, hikers or walkers have the opportunity to look far into the landscape and let their gaze wander throughout the entire route.
Along the way, there is the possibility to experience the region also culinarily and, for example, buy regional products at the Eichelberger Hof. A detour to the Weller Butchery and the Biohonig Wenzel in Seelbach rounds off the experience.
Children can discover various farm animals on the hike and watch cows grazing on the lush Bliesgau meadows or observe the chickens in the mobile chicken coop. In spring, the meadows bloom in colorful shades. The short hike is especially suitable for a trip with the whole family, whether with a stroller or a walker, everyone can join!
Autorentipp
The route runs entirely through open landscape and past fields. In summer, it gets very warm and sunny on the asphalted path, so a head covering should be considered. In strong wind, a weatherproof jacket and a headband are recommended.
There is no change given at the Milich Heisje. It is advisable to pack some small change in your hiking backpack to buy an ice cream or yogurt here.
Wegbeschreibung
The hike starts at the hiking car park at the gallows of Ommersheim. The path leads over the asphalted Roman road past the Römerhof and the Eichelbergerhof towards Seelbach. Shortly before the Heidehof, the route turns sharply to the right. Alternatively, you could continue a bit straight ahead here to visit the Weller Butchery or the Biohonig Wenzel operation. Otherwise, the gravel path then leads past wide fields towards Ommersheim. Along the way, there are always beautiful views of the Bliesgau and towards Biesingen. At the end of the path, the signage points to the right and after about 400 meters back to the left onto the Roman road and back to the starting point.
