Trail marking sign Marienweg
The Marienweg starts at St. Josef Church or the Bürgerzentrum in Frankenholz and is a section of the Tilemann-Stella-Weg. The starting point of the Marienweg is the Bürgerbrunnen at the Bürgerzentrum or the Lourdes Grotto in front of St. Josef Church. From here, the path leads to the grave monument of August Ferdinand Culmann, the founder of the Frankenholz mine and a member of the Paulskirche, then through the Buchwald past the new Marian wayside shrine to the romantic Feilbachtal and to the Marian shrine of the Hau family. The hiking trail passes several Marian memorial sites.
Why this route is called Marienweg becomes clear quickly. Just a little further towards Frankenholz, on the right side of the path, another small clearing opens up. There, a bench invites you to pause in a picturesque setting, and there stands a beautiful Marian wayside shrine.
At the top it reads: "Glück und Unglück, beides trag in Ruh, alles geht vorüber und auch Du." There is also a reference to the creators, on a small plaque at the foot of the shrine: "Donated & built by Dr. Udo Hau ... W. Hau ... 2011." Shortly before the beginning of the village, another Marian image can be found at the edge of the path, a so-called Marian shrine. It says that this beautiful form of Marian devotion was consecrated in 1992.

Wegbeschreibung
The starting point of the route is at the St. Joseph Church in Bexbach-Frankenholz. From there, the signposted path leads right into "St-Barbara-Straße" and then right again into the street "Am Hirtenberg" until it meets the L 116, also known as "Höcherbergstraße." At this point stood the "Schlafhaus 1" back then. The L 116 is briefly crossed and then followed to the left. After a few meters, it goes right into the street "Am Dorfbrunnen," where the "Schlafhaus 2" used to stand, and from there it continues over meadows into the forest. Upon reaching the sports field of Frankenholz, the round path goes right where the former route of the aerial cableway between Frankenholz and the Mittelbexbach station once ran. From here, the hiking trail winds along fields and scattered trees and crosses the L 116 again. It passes behind the cemetery into the so-called Buchwald and branches off to the left at two places along this forest section until the route reaches the outskirts of Frankenholz again. Here, the hiking trail briefly leads into "Ferdinand-Culmann-Straße" and then directly to the right into "Markwaldstraße" and back to the starting point.
