Biohonig Wenzel is the only organic beekeeping business in Saarland. The Bliesgau biosphere reserve offers ideal conditions for beekeeping: the centuries-old orchards, the yellow carpets of rapeseed fields, the white blossoms of the acacias and the variety of summer flowers offer a wide range of honey varieties from which delicious honeys are produced.
At the adventure apiary in Blieskastel-Seelbach, groups of visitors (by prior arrangement) can find out all about the work of a beekeeper, study the organisation of the bee colony at the beehive, lend a hand with the honey extraction and taste the different flavours of the variety of honeys.
