The hike starts at the bus station in Gersheim and leads uphill over the "Sperr," past the Kneipp facility, into the Erzental forest towards Medelsheim. After the forest section, the route leads over the Stations of the Cross in Medelsheim, which offers especially in the morning beautiful views over the village of Medelsheim and the surroundings. Then it continues into the idyllic village center of Medelsheim with its well-known church St. Martin. On Duser Straße, there are great panoramic views of the Vosges and the surrounding Parr on clear days. Then it continues to Walsheim, where the Duppstein is passed in the historic village center. Shortly thereafter, the Kneipp facility provides a welcome refreshment before the route goes uphill again into the forest. The tour continues towards Gersheim, where after the forest passage the typical Bliesgau calcareous dry grasslands with their diverse flora and fauna are crossed. With some luck, orchids can be admired here in spring. Attention: please do not walk off the trails! In Gersheim, the route continues downhill to the bus station, where the circular hike ends.
Autorentipp
The route offers numerous opportunities for cooling off in the summer. Along the way, there are Kneipp facilities in Gersheim and Walsheim as well as the Walsheim outdoor pool about 750 meters from the path.

From there it goes slightly uphill towards Medelsheim. Before the steeper climb at the "Sperr," the Kneipp facility in Gersheim is passed. The route continues straight through the Erzentaler Forest. At the height of Drehbrunnerhof, the path turns left toward L102. Shortly before reaching L102, the path turns right again before crossing L102 about 300 m further on. Follow the path for about 900 m, then turn right towards Walsheim. Follow the path to the crossroads, then turn right there. The route crosses L102 about 300 m further and then leads slightly downhill to Husarenberg, where the Medelsheim chapel and Stations of the Cross are located. The route continues over the Stations of the Cross into the center of Medelsheim, where it turns right into Burgstraße.
Soon after, the church of St. Martin in Medelsheim is passed. The route then turns left shortly after into the "Schlangengrube." Through orchard meadows it goes uphill towards Duser Straße, shortly after "Obig der Hunau" the path turns left. After Duser Straße, the path turns right into the forest about 500 m later. The path then leads to Walsheim. At the village entrance, turn left into the village center and follow the main street past the sports field and Duppstein. At the former Walsheim brewery, the path turns right into Brauereistraße and continues uphill towards Haus Sonne. At the crossroads, do not turn to Haus Sonne but go left. At the next intersection, turn left again. The path passes the radio mast and then turns left downhill. Across calcareous dry grassland, the path continues towards Gersheim. At the end of the path, the way turns left onto the gravel road leading to L201. Upon reaching L201, the path turns right into the village.
