Just hang out: hiking with a hammock

Relaxing, daydreaming, letting your mind wander, or just hanging out—these are the feelings many people associate with a hammock. It is precisely these experiences of slowing down that nature lovers are meant to enjoy while hiking with a hammock.

  • The following rental stations are located in the Bliesgau Biosphere:

  • Hammocks can be rented at the rental stations. A deposit is required, and after a brief instruction session, you’re ready to hit the trail.

    The deposit is €20 per hammock, and the rental period is 72 hours.

    At the rental stations, you’ll receive all the necessary information on how to use the hammock, how to hang it, and the locations of the approved “swinging stations.” The “swinging stations” are marked with the “Saarland Hammock Site” logo.
